Stewardship

The Spirit is certainly flowing through CUMC! In my time here as your pastor, I have learned some amazing stories of this congregation. Stories of children, youth and adults knowing and claiming Christ through this church. A story of establishing a local food pantry that feeds the hungry and builds community. A story of a preschool ministry born of a desire to care for children while teaching them Christian values. Stories of caring for the people of our community through activities like Operation Backpack, CCFP community meals and Winter Clothing Distribution. Stories of faithful members who left this world trusting that their legacy gift would help keep Coralville UMC strong and vibrant through the years.

Change brings possibilities for new life. We are called by God to dream big, expect much, and commit ourselves to the ministry of Jesus Christ through our church. I am excited to share in the future amazing stories that our commitment will bring! When we give, our compassion is experienced and our voices are heard throughout our church and community.

Thank you for your gifts that make our ministry possible. Your giving makes a difference. You make a difference. You are an important part of the life and ministry of Coralville United Methodist Church!

In God’s love,
Rev. Leigh Brown
